Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-05-29
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Narrate platform at narrate.audio (the “Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Eligibility
The Platform is invite-only for creators. You must receive an invitation from Narrate to create an account and generate episodes. Listeners may access published episodes without an account.
By accepting an invitation you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
3. Creator Content & Ownership
You retain ownership of the guiding questions, keywords, and editorial choices you provide to the Platform. The resulting AI-generated episode script, audio, and metadata are considered your published content once you choose to publish the episode.
By publishing an episode you grant Narrate a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, distribute, and display the episode on the Platform and through connected distribution channels (such as RSS and podcast directories) for as long as the episode remains published.
You are solely responsible for ensuring your published content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights, violate applicable law, or contain defamatory, harmful, or misleading material.
4. AI-Generated Content
4.1 AI assistance disclosure
All episodes on Narrate are researched and scripted with the assistance of AI models. Creators review and publish the output, but significant portions of each episode are AI-generated.
4.2 Accuracy disclaimer
AI models can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information. Narrate does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any purpose of episode content. Listeners should independently verify any information before relying on it for decisions.
4.3 No professional advice
Nothing on the Platform constitutes legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice. Content is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only.
5. Platform Rights
Narrate reserves the right to remove, suspend, or restrict access to any episode or creator account at any time, without prior notice, for any reason including but not limited to:
- Violation of these Terms
- Receipt of a valid DMCA takedown notice
- Content that is harmful, misleading, or unlawful
- Content that violates the policies of distribution partners (e.g. Spotify)
Narrate is not liable for any loss resulting from the removal of content under this section.
6. DMCA Notice Procedure
Narrate respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). If you believe content on the Platform infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to legal@narrate.audio that includes all of the following:
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location on the Platform
- Your contact information (name, address, telephone number, and email address)
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf
- Your physical or electronic signature
Upon receipt of a valid notice we will act within a reasonable time to remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material. For full details — including the counter-notice procedure and our designated DMCA agent’s contact details — see our DMCA & Legal Contact page.
7. Prohibited Use
You agree not to use the Platform to:
- Generate or publish content that is illegal, defamatory, or harassing
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Platform
- Attempt to circumvent any security or access controls
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Platform or its underlying infrastructure
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Narrate disclaims all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law. The disclaimers above apply only to the extent the law permits.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Narrate and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, suppliers, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Where our liability cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law but can be limited, our liability is limited (at our option) to re-supplying the relevant service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied. Subject to that, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform will not exceed the amount (if any) you paid us for the Platform in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Vic, Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Vic, Australia.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version at narrate.audio/terms. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any revision constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
