All communications relating to copyright infringement claims must be sent to the address above. We do not accept verbal or telephone notices — written notice to the email address listed is required.
3. Submitting a Takedown Notice
To file a valid DMCA takedown notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your written notice must include all of the following:
- Identification of the copyrighted work — a description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, or if multiple works are covered by a single notice, a representative list of those works.
- Identification of the infringing material — a description of the material you claim is infringing and that you want removed, with enough detail for us to locate it (e.g. the episode URL on narrate.audio).
- Your contact information — your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- Good-faith statement — a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy statement — a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Signature — your physical or electronic signature.
Send your completed notice to legal@narrate.audio. Incomplete notices may not be acted upon.
Please be aware that under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees.
4. Counter-Notice Procedure
If you believe your material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g). Your counter-notice must include:
- Identification of the removed material — a description of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
- Statement under penalty of perjury — a statement that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your contact information — your full name, mailing address, and telephone number.
- Consent to jurisdiction — a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or any judicial district if your address is outside the United States), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original takedown notice.
- Signature — your physical or electronic signature.
Send your counter-notice to legal@narrate.audio. Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice we will provide a copy to the original complainant and may restore the material no sooner than 10 business days and no later than 14 business days after receipt, unless the complainant files a court action.
5. Repeat Infringers
Narrate has a policy of terminating creator accounts that are repeat infringers of intellectual property rights in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion.
